Stems: Stems somewhat woody, appressed pubescent, tubers fusiform, 60–90 cm long.

Roots:

Leaves: Surfaces pubescent. Leaflet margins entire to shallowly lobed.

Flowers: Calyx 5-lobed, with long, conspicuously imbricate lobes. Stamens 10; upper stamen connate at least at the middle to the other 9, which are connate into a tube.
